On 23rd October, sixteen officers of the German Federal Army took part in the simulation game “Quo Vadis Ukraine” in Flensburg, Germany. The participants slipped into the roles of political actors, businesspersons and members of civil society, in order to debate the ongoing war in Ukraine and to elaborate on possible peace scenarios. For half a day the participants had the chance to learn about the situation in the Donbass region and to debate about three main topics: Minsk peace agreements, Humanitarian crisis, as well as a possibly of a UN-peace mission. Equipped with the necessary background information, the participants engaged in a fruitful simulation game, full of challenges and learning experiences.
