Short Bio
Born in Weimar, Elena studied Cultural Science and Urban Research at European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Science-Po Lyon, and Bauhaus University Weimar. After her Bachelor’s degree, she worked one year in the field of municipal participation in Berlin as well as for the Goethe Institute in Germany. During her Master’s, she gave seminars at the faculty for social urban research at Bauhaus University about local capacities within EU-Border management and researched EU border regimes, local youth participation, and special marginalization in Germany, Serbia, Israel, and Ukraine.
After her studies, she worked as a freelancer with NGOs and municipal actors in the field of civic education and conflict transformation. Elena is a Coach and Trainer for constructive conflict transformation and transcultural learning (ATCC).
