The events on the Euromaidan 2013/14 and the subsequent revolution on the Maidan have significantly influenced the history of Ukraine. However, the medium to long-term perspectives cannot be assessed at the present time. At the end of the project an audio drama will be created, including about 10 individual, partly contrasting stories and the events that happened at the Maidan will be brought to life in an artistic way. The aim of the proposed project is to highlight the consensus of basic fundamental values and thereby contribute to a democratic and pluralistic society. The events on the Euromaidan 2013/14 serve as a stimulus for this exchange. Why do people risk their lives? What is the will of the people and how can it be implemented? How should decisions be made and how can minorities be taken into account? Is there ever justification for the use of violence?

Project Goals
The aim of the proposed project is to highlight the consensus of basic fundamental values and thereby contribute to a democratic and pluralistic society. The events on the Euromaidan 2013/14 serve as a stimulus for this exchange. Why do people risk their lives? What is the will of the people and how can it be implemented? How should decisions be taken and how can minorities be taken into account? Is there ever justification for the use of violence? These and many other questions about the fundamental values of a democratic and pluralistic society are addressed, based on the events of the revolution on the Maidan. The app, developed during the project, allows the audible experience of this fascinating moment in Ukrainian history from very different points of views. In this way, people are encouraged to discuss the fundamental prerequisites for social coexistence and to discuss the underlined basic values.
