Peace Practice

Peace Praxis creates space for actors from programme and EECA partner countries to learn about and reflect together on each other’s activities in the field of peacebuilding and non-violent conflict transformation. The youth workers and youth leaders from EECA and partner countries learn from each other’s experience and build a base for long-term cooperation.

Target Group

The project “Peace Praxis – Partnerships for non-violent conflict transformation“ is a partnership building activity for youth workers and youth leaders from programme (Germany, UK, Denmark, Poland, Romania) and EECA partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine ) as well as Russia.

Project Goals

In order to gain a deeper insight into the work of major German actors in the field of civil society conflict transformation, and in a frame of a small study element, the participants had an opportunity to visit organizations such as Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit, ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) zivik, Network for Reporting on Eastern Europe (n-ost), Stiftung für deutsch-polnische Zusammenarbeit, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung e.V., Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Inmedio and Breaking Walls in Berlin.   During the networking meeting in Berlin participants introduced their sending organizations, discussed and exchanged the best practices of implemented projects in their home communities. Such an approach helped to develop new cooperation between participants as they planned new activities on an international level.
