The Sudan Youth Delegates celebrate the 2022 Cohort

In December 2022, an exciting year for the UN Youth Delegate Program Sudan came to a festive closure. The program had been initiated and organized by CRISP and our local partner SUDIA with the support of the German Foreign Office. To celebrate the end of their term, the 2022 delegate cohort gathered at the house of Heritage in Khartoum.

The delegates had invited prominent guests from international organizations and diplomacy, partners friends and family. The day was filled with meeting old faces, taking the time for critical assessments the year, a podium discussion, moving speeches, and a certificate handover. Moreover, the delegates presented a film documentary on their work.

The German embassy honored the delegates with a visit of the vice ambassador and his team. In his speech, the German representative stressed how impressed he was with the diplomatic demeanor and clear vision that the delegates had demonstrated throughout the year.

The 2022 cohort looks back at an exciting year, but they also look forward. You might ask: “What will 2023 and 2024 bring for Sudan and the region and how can the Sudan delegates participate in these developments?” Rest assured; this is not goodbye! CRISP has a lot more planned for the future of Sudanese and African UN Youth participation and we will unveil something very exciting very soon. So, stay tuned for big news in January!
