Short Bio

Before joining CRISP, Nicolas worked in Chile in the fields of criminal justice, human rights of persons deprived of liberty and juvenile justice system. After finishing his master degree in Criminal Law he founded with other young lawyers and professionals the NGO Structural Litigation for Latin America, an organization with a focus on providing legal assistance to prisoners in Chilean penal institutions and advocating for reforms to the penitentiary system. Since then he has also collaborated with research centres and NGOs in the field of children’s rights and has worked as a teacher assistant in the Faculty of Law of the Diego Portales University in Santiago.

Nicolas is a lawyer and holds a LLM in Criminal Law from Diego Portales University. He is currently a second year student of the Master in Public Policy program (MPP) in Hertie School of Governance, Berlin.
