In 2013, 25 civil society activists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia (North Caucasus) and Turkey that take part in this forum received training in professional capacity building, exchanged know-how and conducted study cross-border visits. The kick-off and final meeting were further enriched by inputs from guest speakers of the BMW foundation, the Robert Bosch Stiftung, Humanity in Action and the Centre for Social Investment.
Target Group
Our target group is represented by professional civil society activists living in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia (North Caucasus) and Turkey. They are interested in sharing their knowledge and enhancing their skills through collaboration with likeminded colleagues, and who are willing to start long-term cross-border cooperation.
Project Goals
In total, starting from July, 11 cross-border study visits between the fellows were implemented in all participating countries, meaning Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Russia. The fellows had a chance to get to know each other’s organizations, get information about how nonprofit organizations are operating in different countries of the region and exchange ideas about future cooperation possibilities. From this, cooperation projects were developed and planned for 2014.
