LOCATIONS

PARTICIPANTS

17 young diplomats from Latin America and the Caribbean
Project Goals

Based on the challenges for regional integration in Latin America and the Caribbean, we developed a simulation game, which allowed to explore the most crucial issues currently at stake. Topics of discussion were among others the possible expansion of Freedom of Movement, the question about common democratic standards in regional organisations or the strengthening of suprana-tional institutions. During the debriefing phase, the participants transferred the experience to their work realities and discussed in small groups about concrete thematic fields for an enhanced re-gional integration.

Target Group

The target group was quite big and diverse. We had more than 120 participants from 12 different countries with different professional backgrounds, such as policy-makers, youth-serving organizations and youth activists. We adopted the simulation game method to all the different needs and expectations and thanks to the great efforts we put into the development of the simulation game we had a quite successful day.
