Syria’s youth, who make up over 60% of the population, have come of age amid war, propaganda, and digital misinformation. As Syria begins a new chapter, these young people are both its greatest risk and its greatest hope.
The Daleel Media Compass is an immersive simulation game that equips youth with real-world media literacy skills. Participants take on roles in a fictional divided society, navigating deep-fake videos, leaked documents, rigged polls, and emotional echo chambers. They face ethical decisions, use digital tools to uncover the truth, and learn to critically assess information—even when it aligns with their own biases. The experience is interactive, emotionally resonant, and grounded in reality, co-designed with Syrian youth to ensure relevance and impact.
