RISE (Resilient Initiatives for Sustainable Engagement) is a youth-centered climate action project implemented in Jordan by a consortium led by CRISP e.V., in partnership with the Center for Development Services (CDS) and Motivators for Training (MOTIVE). The project focuses on strengthening the capacity of environmental civil society organizations (CSOs) and their affiliated youth members to design, implement, and sustain local climate initiatives. By combining capacity-building, pilot projects, micro-grants, and cross-sector collaboration, RISE supports grassroots environmental action while reinforcing democratic participation and inclusive governance.

Project Goals

The project seeks to empower youth-led climate action by strengthening the technical, organizational, and collaborative capacities of environmental CSOs, particularly in governorates outside the capital. RISE aims to foster youth leadership, innovation, and meaningful community engagement in addressing climate change and environmental challenges, while also promoting cooperation between civil society, local authorities, and the private sector to support sustainable and innovative local climate solutions.

Target Group(s)

Youth (aged 18–35) affiliated with environmental and youth-led CSOs. The Civil society organizations are working on environmental sustainability and climate action. The project will also ensure at least 50% female participation ensured.
