Within the framework of the project, participants will learn about the theory and practice of youth participation, conduct a thorough analysis of local needs and, on this basis, develop their own initiatives for democratization processes and youth participation in local communities, deciding for themselves with which topics and initiatives they would like to engage.
An important aspect of the project is the active involvement of young people from Transnistia and Gagauzia as well as from rural areas. As part of the project process, we will work not only with civil society activists and youth, but also involve representatives of local authorities and local communities. Successful implementation of youth-led initiatives that address issues in society will increase the perception of young people as change agents among local stakeholders.
During three days of the Kick-off Meeting in June, we set a good start for the upcoming events. Together with our partners “Diversity” we have discussed our expectations from the project course and beyond it; we talked through each of the activities and planned the upcoming trainings in more details; and agreed on many other organizational issues.
Our first Training of Trainers will take place already in the middle of July and we are very eager to meet our participants and work closely with them!
