In collaboration with RCS, CRISP has implemented an online training series dedicated to simulation game design on Holistic Security. The initiative aimed to empower RCS staff with the knowledge and practical tools needed to develop and facilitate interactive simulations that strengthen security awareness and response capacities within their communities.
Over the course of five interactive online sessions, CRISP guided ten RCS trainers through the complete process of designing a simulation game, from conceptualization to test-play. Participants explored the principles of simulation game methodology, mapped key stakeholders and interests, and co-created a fully playable simulation game that integrates the holistic security approach.
By the end of the series, RCS participants had produced a complete, ready-to-use simulation format that can be implemented in future trainings and adapted for related topics such as local governance and conflict sensitivity.
