17 Diplomats 17 countries

With one of the most international groups in CRISP history, we were conducting our simulation game “KODORI”.

The diplomats representing countries as diverse as Australia, Saudia Arabia, Japan and Mexico were part of the “International Diplomat Training” of the German Foreign Ministry. Together they had to come up with a roadmap to tackle the secessionist conflict of Kodori. Complex issues like structuring the DDR process, improving the situation of IDP’s and finding power sharing agreements were to be negotiated.

In the end the participants realized the complex dynamics of such conflict situations and that comprehensive approaches are needed. We could also raise awareness for the importance of including different actors and sectors into the negotiations in order to achieve sustainable solutions. We would like to thank the participants for their commitment and the Foreign ministry for the opportunity.
