First Steps Toward Virtual Conflict Resolution

On June 3, 2025, the kick-off meeting for the project "Virtual Conflict Resolution" took place. In close collaboration with experts and the target group, we laid the foundation for developing conflict resolution trainings in Virtual Reality (VR).

The time has finally come: On June 3, 2025, the project "Virtual Conflict Resolution" officially began! We are very excited to take this important step together with our external experts Jeff and Stephanie, as well as youth work multipliers and young people. The kick-off meeting marks the start of an exciting and challenging journey, which we are embarking on with great motivation and conviction.

A key part of the meeting was the detailed discussion of the needs assessment, during which we jointly decided how and with whom it will be conducted in order to accurately identify the demand for effective conflict resolution strategies in youth work. The survey will be completed by the end of July, after which we will actively reach out to youth work multipliers to collect and evaluate the results.

At the same time, we have started researching best-practice examples from around the world to identify, based on evidence, which conflict resolution methods and techniques work particularly well with young people. These global insights will help us further develop our virtual conflict trainings and offer practical, hands-on methods.

By the end of August, we expect to have a clearer understanding of the causes of the most common conflicts in youth work and to know which effective methods can be used by multipliers to address them. The further the project progresses and the more we engage with the target group, the more convinced we become of the idea and the positive impact of this project.

We welcome any form of support and look forward to the next steps on this exciting journey.
