First Visit from Algeria for the CCP Synergy project

Nassim Oughlassi, an Activism Coordinator from Amnesty International Algeria, visited CRISP and was introduced to the simulation game methodology.

The overall goal of Cross Cultural Synergy project (CCP) is to empower young people to take over a critical and constructive role in the national democratic transformation process in a sustainable manner. The project will take place in Algeria addressing active youth in Amnesty International Algeria and other civil society organizations during the national youth forum and other trainings organized by Amnesty International, as part of the Human Rights Education program.

The outcomes of this project are trained local trainers, who will have the capacities to stimulate a critical attitude towards the ongoing democratic processes in the country and serve as multipliers for a sustainable and active civil society.

Nassim got a deeper understanding of the methodology by observing two different simulation game implementations with different groups. And we are hopeful that we will be able to spread our methodology to Algeria, and develop a simulation game based on the local needs according to the Algerian context.
