At the invitation of local project partner International Youth Reformation Organization of Nigeria (IYOREF), CRISP travelled to Abuja, Nigeria from 29. to 31. January to meet with government agencies and institutions to discuss support of the anticipated project “Nigerian Pathway to Peace”. The project focuses on peace education in schools and other educational institutions on the basis of simulation gaming. The trip culminated in a launch event/stakeholder conference in which the project and the support of major stakeholders were presented to the media. IYOREF aims to start a pilot phase of the project, in which teachers would be educated as trainers in simulation gaming to use the tool with students, in 2019.
