Parliamentary Ethics Simulation Held in Armenia

A dynamic simulation exercise in Yerevan brought Armenian MPs together to explore integrity, ethics, and oversight through real-life parliamentary scenarios.

On 31 May and 1 June 2025, a one-and-a-half-day simulation exercise was conducted in Yerevan with members of the Armenian Parliament. The training aimed to explore the practical application of the Parliament’s Code of Conduct, the role of the Ethics Committee, and rules of procedure. Participants engaged in immersive case-based scenarios that mirrored actual ethical dilemmas, helping to assess the sufficiency of Armenia’s draft integrity framework.

The simulation was met with strong engagement, with MPs actively expanding the scenarios and rotating roles to deepen understanding. The authenticity of the cases enabled meaningful reflection on ethical standards, while the integration of an AI advisor offered an innovative layer of support. The exercise demonstrated a clear appetite among MPs for practical tools to strengthen parliamentary integrity and procedural fairness.
