re:publica 2026: Why our Konfliktsimulator struck a nerve

At re:publica, creatives and changemakers kept asking one question: when can we test the Konfliktsimulator? Here’s what we took home.

re:publica 26 (18–20 May 2026) in Berlin brought together creative and progressive minds from across the cultural and tech scene — and CRISP was there to listen, learn, and test ideas.

Across panel discussions, workshops, and the games on display, we picked up valuable input on how interactive and game-based formats can open up conversations that are normally hard to have. Just as important were the people: we made a number of genuinely interesting contacts working at the intersection of culture, technology, and civic engagement.

What stood out most was the response to our Konfliktsimulator. Again and again, people who had heard about the project came up to ask when it would launch. That response confirms something we’ve believed for a while: there’s a real gap in how people and organizations prepare for conflict — and a tool that lets you train for it, the way a flight simulator lets pilots train for situations they hope never to face, can fill it.

We’re working toward a browser version going live in the second half of this year. If you want to be among the first to test it, register your interest on our website. Stay tuned.
