In July 2025, Caritas Czech Republic hosted the second meeting of the SAFE Project, bringing together the project consortium to review progress and set the course for upcoming activities.
The event gathered youth educators and project coordinators from Hungary, Czechia, Poland, Ukraine, Germany, and Romania. Participants reflected on the results of implementing the “Storytelling Rooms” methodology in their respective countries, sharing what worked well, what challenges arose, and how different approaches could address sensitive topics more effectively.
This clustering meeting marked an important milestone: the first step toward developing a digital toolkit designed to equip youth workers with practical methods and recommendations. The toolkit will support professionals working with young people directly or indirectly affected by conflict, ensuring long-term accessibility and promoting youth-focused engagement with complex and sensitive issues across Europe.
Looking ahead, the SAFE Project will focus on finalising the toolkit and carrying out testing phases before its official launch.
