Developed together with our European partners, the toolkit is a practical resource for youth workers, educators and facilitators working with young people affected directly or indirectly by conflict, migration and social transformation.
Open safeyouthfialogues.eu to explore it!
Rather than simply talking about resilience, inclusion or dialogue, SAFE offers practical methodologies to work with these issues through experience-based, participatory and trauma-informed learning.
Inside the toolkit you can explore:
- methods for creating safe and inclusive spaces
- practical exercises and workshop formats
- approaches to resilience, identity, mental health and belonging
- activities addressing stereotypes, dialogue and social inclusion
- guidance for facilitators and their own self-care
- support resources for working with sensitive situations
The toolkit is available in 7 languages: English, German, Ukrainian, Polish, Czech, Romanian and Hungarian. Most importantly, SAFE is not meant to be followed as a rigid manual. It is a resource to explore, adapt, combine and make your own.
The toolkit was developed within the Erasmus+ project SAFE – Social Awareness for (War) Experiences, co-funded by the European Union through JUGEND für Europa.
