At the invitation of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS), CRISP was present at the Federal Government’s Open Day with its conflict simulator. In the ‘AI in the World of Work’ section, interested members of the public were able to try out the tool directly at the stand and discuss the methodology behind it with our team.
As is so often the case, the response was overwhelming: numerous visitors emphasised how important a tool such as the conflict simulator is in general – and how particularly relevant it can be for use in a school setting. We spoke to teachers, trainee teachers, committed parents and pupils themselves. A key finding from these discussions was that there is considerable interest in adapting existing projects and methods for promoting democracy to the Conflict Simulator, thereby making them accessible to further target groups.
We were particularly pleased with the feedback from State Secretary Dr Michael Schäfer, who watched the simulation for quite some time and with obvious interest:
„Practising such skills is of paramount importance. The conflict simulator is an extremely useful tool in this regard, which can be widely used across a wide range of subject areas."
