ARCH Project in Sudan: Online National Crisis Scenario Planning

From mid-July until the beginning of August, Sudan has successfully conducted an online implementation of the National Climate Crisis Scenario Planning.

The National Crisis Scenario workshop was designed to bring together a variety of stakeholders to engage in sessions discussing pertinent climate challenges in the topics of food security, water and agriculture nexus, forest conservation and services. As well as green economics and climate finance.

The workshop had numerous objectives and one of the main ones was to provide a platform for participants to discuss and exchange the potential impacts of climate change in Sudan and to seek expert advice on the matter. Participants received insights into various factors affecting the climate in Sudan in their local regions, which enabled them to hypothesize best, and worst-case scenarios based on different challenges.
