IKI ARCH Project Concludes with Final Implementation Meetings in Egypt and Sudan

The IKI ARCH project ends after two transformative years, with final national meetings in Egypt and Sudan highlighting the participants' hard work and growth as climate advocates.

The final phase of the IKI ARCH (Action for Regional Climate Help) project concluded with a series of locally facilitated implementation meetings in Egypt and Sudan. In Egypt, Activity IV.4 brought together seven participants on June 20–21, 2025, where they held virtual meetings with parliamentarians to review current environmental legislation and assist in drafting a comprehensive report. Meanwhile in Sudan, the same activity took place through two national meetings held over four consecutive days starting April 8, 2025. These sessions enabled participants to engage with experts and academics in in-depth discussions surrounding their policy papers, legislative frameworks, policy analysis, and monitoring and evaluation systems.

These final meetings marked the conclusion of the two-year IKI ARCH initiative, which has empowered young participants from the MENA region to become more informed, skilled, and effective climate advocates. Through intensive trainings, policy work, stakeholder engagement, and cross-border collaboration, participants have developed the tools and confidence needed to shape climate policy in their home countries. The culmination of this project stands as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and resilience of all involved, leaving behind a strong network of emerging climate leaders ready to drive sustainable change in their communities.
