Mareike brings strong academic training and diverse international experience, paired with a deep interest in peacebuilding and global justice. Before joining CRISP, she studied International Studies at Leiden University with a regional focus on East Asia. She gained hands-on experience in research and advocacy through a consultancy project with the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and as a member of the EPIS Think Tank, contributing to projects on peacekeeping, conflict-related sexual violence, and the intersection of gender and corruption. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Mareike is actively involved in volunteer work supporting refugee integration in Germany. At CRISP, she aims to contribute to the development of impactful simulation games and projects that promote dialogue, critical thinking, and inclusive solutions to global challenges.
