Delal was born and raised in Turkey, where her passion for social justice and human rights began to take shape. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in law from Istanbul University in 2018, she dedicated 4 years to working as a lawyer, primarily focusing on human rights issues. Besides her legal career, she involved some NGOs in Turkey with significant work with refugee children and children in the criminal justice system, areas where she developed a profound interest in social action and peacebuilding.
Recognizing the limitations of law in achieving broader social change, Delal decided to change her career towards in the NGO sector. This transition led her to Berlin, where she is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Intercultural Conflict Management. Seeking to deepen her understanding of international NGOs and their daily operations, she found a fitting opportunity at CRISP as an intern.
Delal views her internship at CRISP as a great opportunity in her new career path. She is eager to learn about the intricacies of NGO work, particularly in the realm of international conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Delal believes that her time at CRISP will equip her with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute effectively to the global community and to continue her journey of fostering sustainable peace and resilient civil societies.
