Discussing Policies with Youth-Focused Organizations in Berlin

On November 16th, stakeholders from various youth-focused organizations convened at Die Gelbe Villa in Berlin's Kreuzberg district for a discussion event under the "Policing the Policy" project.

This gathering brought together stakeholders from various youth-focused organizations, including youth participation service, children and youth participation office Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, youth office, and youth work coordination district office Tempelhof-Schöneberg.

Representatives from these organizations actively participated in discussions, aiming to delve into and develop ideas based on the outcomes of previous focus groups. The overarching goal was to formulate strategies that would promote the interests of Berlin's youth.

The project entered its third phase in spring, involving a survey conducted with youth from Tempelhof-Schöneberg and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg districts. The focus groups conducted earlier provided valuable insights into the perspectives of young individuals on district-specific issues, local youth policies, and broader themes significant for Berlin. The documented findings from these discussions were thoroughly analyzed and compiled into a comprehensive report, available upon request.

The "Policing the Policy" project, organized by CRISP together with partners from Serbia “Narodni Parlament”, Finland “Association of Cultural Heritage Education in Finland” and Poland “Fundacja Pole Dialogu”, represents a concerted effort by stakeholders to actively engage and empower the city's youth in shaping policies that directly impact them.
