Updates from “Policing the Policy” Project: Youth survey results

We are thrilled to announce some exciting developments in our "Policing the Policy" project! After a brief hiatus, we're back with a wealth of insights and findings from our recent survey conducted in collaboration with young individuals from the Tempelhof-Schöneberg and Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg districts.

This survey, a pivotal part of Phase 3 of our project, aimed to gauge the perspectives of these youth on their districts, local youth policies, and the most pressing issues facing Berlin.

The valuable input and engaging discussions from these focus group sessions have been meticulously documented, analyzed, and compiled into a comprehensive report, which we are eager to share with you. In addition to presenting the results, our report also includes a concise summary of the previous project phases and findings from desk research on district activities and strategies targeting young people.

To mark this occasion, we cordially invite all young individuals, colleagues, and anyone interested to join us for a stimulating discussion on November 16th, from 18:00 to 19:30 in Kreuzberg. Please contact us to find out the exact location of the event.

The primary objectives of this gathering are twofold. Firstly, we aim to present the key themes and findings from our report. More importantly, we intend to foster a cross-district exchange regarding the issues and concerns raised by the focus groups. We are eager to explore ways to build upon this research, create synergies, and develop strategies together to address these challenges.

We take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all youth recreational facilities for their collaboration and, of course, to the young participants for their involvement in the focus group sessions.
