Study Visit from The Missing Peace Project – Exchanging on Peacebuilding and AI Simulation Tools
On April 25th, we welcomed a delegation from The Missing Peace project, implemented by CGE Erfurt, for a study visit at our offices in Berlin. The visit aimed to deepen mutual understanding and foster collaboration among organizations working in civic education, conflict transformation, and social cohesion.
The session was led by our colleagues Farida Noureldin and Mohamed Najib Rahmi, who introduced CRISP’s work and engaged the participants in a discussion about our simulation game methodology. Special focus was given to our AI-supported decision-making tools, which offer a novel way to simulate stakeholder dynamics in complex conflict environments.

A major highlight of the visit was the in-person intervention by Kateryna Pavlova, who presented her impactful project on debunking myths about Ukraine and Ukrainian people. Her initiative focuses on building social cohesion between Ukrainian refugees and German host communities. Her personal and professional insights made a strong impact on everyone present, highlighting the importance of empathy-driven dialogue and cross-cultural understanding.
The exchange was rich and inspiring, and participants expressed enthusiasm about the potential of simulation-based approaches for their own contexts. We are thankful for the interest shown by the Missing Peace team and CGE Erfurt, and we look forward to further exploring possibilities for collaboration.
