Interactive Workshop Strengthens Conflict Resolution and Coexistence Skills

Manama, November 2024 – In collaboration with CRISP, the Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue (BFD) successfully conducted an immersive simulation workshop with 24 participants, representing diverse sectors such as peacebuilding, law, medicine, civil society organizations, and students.

The Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue (BFD), in partnership with CRISP, hosted an interactive simulation workshop on November 8–9, 2024. Spanning 12 training hours, the event brought together 24 participants from various backgrounds, including peacebuilders, lawyers, doctors, representatives of civil society organizations, and university students. The workshop provided participants with critical skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and sustainable community development.

The program centered around a fictional scenario set in "Al-Oud" on "Bakhoor Island," a region recovering from a devastating earthquake. Participants collaborated to address resource-based challenges, fostering innovative and community-driven solutions. The activity emphasized practical applications of dialogue, teamwork, and effective communication to transform conflicts into opportunities for cooperation.
Led by expert trainers Mohamed Naguib Rahmi and Dina Farid from CRISP, the workshop highlighted sustainable conflict management techniques and decision-making strategies under pressure. Participants enhanced their leadership capabilities while developing creative approaches to resolve societal challenges.

This initiative reflects CRISP’s and BFD’s shared commitment to cultivating peaceful coexistence and sustainable development in the region. By leveraging innovative methods like simulation games, both organizations aim to empower individuals and communities to embrace dialogue as a cornerstone for societal progress.
