Annual Report 2023

2023 was a significant year for CRISP, with notable achievements in fostering peace, democracy, and intercultural understanding across diverse regions, demonstrating our commitment to global impact.

2023 was a significant year for CRISP, with notable achievements in fostering peace, democracy, and intercultural understanding across diverse regions, demonstrating our commitment to global impact.
One of our most innovative projects this year was the PEACEGAME. In collaboration with P4P and DCAF, CRISP conducted workshops exploring new peace strategies, including a notable workshop at the EU Community of Practice on Peace Mediation in Brussels. Another major highlight was Y-LEAD, our largest project focused on youth leadership development. Y-LEAD empowered young leaders across various regions, fostering a new generation of changemakers.

Our initiatives extended to Africa through projects like the African UN Youth Delegate Program (AUNYD) and the "Action for Regional Climate Help" (ARCH) project in Sudan, emphasizing leadership training and climate policy advocacy. These programs focused on leadership training and climate policy advocacy, demonstrating CRISP's commitment to addressing regional challenges through targeted interventions.

In Moldova, CRISP's U-Power project made a significant impact by empowering Ukrainian and Moldovan refugee women through leadership training and community engagement activities.

We also engaged in civic education programs in Germany, such as "Wer regiert Neuland?", recognized for excellence by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (BpB) in the "Active for Democracy and Tolerance" competition 2023.

In Palestine, CRISP's e-participation workshops promoted digital literacy and engagement, empowering participants to utilize digital tools for civic advocacy and community development.

The addition of new team members in 2023 brought fresh expertise, further strengthening our capacity to deliver impactful results. Volunteers Violetta Kukuruza (Ukraine) and Haya Ellhamy (Egypt), alongside assistants Alice Reece, Sai Harshini Valluri, Charles Theine, Zen Schönberg, and Olimbek Azimbekov, have been instrumental in ensuring successful initiative implementation.

The above-mentioned highlights reflect our dedication to fostering peace, democracy, and intercultural understanding through innovative and impactful initiatives. As we look to the future, we remain committed to building on these successes and continuing our mission-driven work.

CRISP extends its deepest gratitude to all partners, stakeholders, and supporters, and looks forward to continuing its impactful work in the years to come.
