Virtual Conflict Resolution – Effectively Addressing Conflicts in Youth Work

Over the next four years, we will provide hands-on methods and techniques for conflict resolution in Virtual Reality. We are currently looking for committed partners to co-develop and test our VR training modules. If you're interested, just send us a short email, and we’ll get in touch!

Our innovative VR training for conflict resolution offers an exciting opportunity to identify conflicts early, understand them better, and develop suitable solutions. The goal is to equip multipliers in youth work with the necessary tools to handle conflicts constructively.

Through immersive VR simulations, participants can take on different perspectives, unlocking the full potential of VR technology as an “empathy machine.” In a safe virtual space, they will learn practical methods and techniques to de-escalate and sustainably resolve conflicts.

To further develop our project, we are seeking engaged cooperation partners to help us determine which conflicts are most common among young people and should be addressed with best-practice conflict resolution models. Additionally, we plan to establish an expert advisory board to oversee content development and implementation. A key milestone will be the release of a digital toolkit, providing teaching materials, methods, and practical examples for conflict resolution and transformation.

How do conflicts arise? How can I facilitate conflict resolution and find solutions? Which conflict resolution strategy suits me? How can dialogue and mediation create positive change? Our project provides answers to these questions and teaches valuable skills for successfully handling conflicts in the future.

The project started in January 2025 and will run until 2029. If you are part of the target group and would like to contribute, please reach out. We look forward to your email!
